Discussion on Thrust Bearing of FTM Impact Crusher
Thrust bearing in impact crusher is in spherical structure. Low thrust disk is fixed. Upper thrust disk moves along with spindle. Middle disk depends on the structure and floats between two disks. To estimate the service life of worn-out bearing, we need to count the sliding speeds of three disks. The key to estimation of service life is the analysis on running rules of spindle and thrust bearing.
Spindle movement is the resultant motion of revolution and rotation. When spindle revolves, middle bearing disk can ensure the complete match between upper and lower disks. Frictional power of spindle is not related with the contacting area, but in direct proportion with positive pressure on contacting area and frictional coefficient.
Supposing that frictional coefficients of upper disk and low disk are equal, we can judge out the pressure on two contacting surfaces and frictional force. When spindle rotates, upper disk and middle disk do not have the relative slip. The two disks can move when spindle revolves.
Since middle disk makes the translational motion along with upper disk, arbitrary point speed on upper disk and middle disk is similar with that in each center point. Lower thrust disk is fixed. Since the precession angle is small, axis of middle disk is nearly in parallel with revolution axis. At any moment, speed at every contacting point is always variational.
