Role of Mobile Stone Crusher for Open Pits
Open-pit production develops relatively late in China, while open-pit production develops quite fast after the 21st century. While, for the existing large-sized open pits, their peeling cost accounts for more than 70% of the whole mining cost. To realize the green and sustainable production, large-sized open pits begin to use the hemi-continous process for replacing the intermittent process.
As to the hemi-continuous process, it includes the work of single bucket excavator, mobile crushing plant and belt conveyor. Intermittent process includes the work of single bucket excavator and trucks. Process reform, with mobile crushers to take the place of trucks, can get rid of dependence on fuels and types, reduce the production of offgas and dust, significantly lower the production cost and improve the work efficiency.
Hemi-continuous process, with mobile crushing plant as the major part, is the orientation for developing the open-pit technology in the future. To develop the large-sized equipments and technologies for large-sized open pits, FTM Crusher Company has done a lot of efforts.
Shape of crushing cavity is classified into the linear type and curve type. Cross section of crushing cavity in curve type is trapezoid. If crushing cavity is in curve type, raw materials will flow rapidly in jaw crusher machine. What’s more, blocking of discharging mouth will be easy to be avoided. Compared with crushing cavity in linear type, crushing cavity in curve type is higher in working capacity. Through several experiments and practices, this conclusion is proved to be right.
FTM technicians design all crushing cavities in curve type into linear type. By changing the type of crushing cavities, working capacity of PE jaw crusher can be improved a lot.
